The Camp Fire on November 8th, 2018, changed the face of Butte County in many ways. The impact was swift and massive, and the eyes of the world were on us for a short time. While the immediate devastation is behind us, as a community we now face a very different landscape with many challenges and opportunities.

Many are still looking for ways to help, and many are still looking for help.

The journey ahead for Butte County includes recovery from the physical and emotional trauma, and decisions about what it looks like to rebuild a healthy and thriving community. This will take time. It is a long-term effort.

The Camp Fire Long Term Recovery Group was formed in late 2018 to lead our community towards a healthy and thriving future. We recognize that the needs we have as a community are still being discovered and we must be intentional about facing the days to come.

We are the officially recognized community hub
for recovery resources.

Our official designation is recognized by FEMA, CAL-OES, and the local government agencies and jurisdictions within Butte County.

We have members from public sector, private business, non-profit, community groups and faith-based organizations because we know that each of us brings a unique perspective and walks with different segments of our community. Our goal is to ensure that we effectively represent the whole community and are focused on identifying and meeting the ongoing needs in our community. By working alongside government agencies in a collaborative way we can help bring about the best long-term solutions for our county and region.
